PM Consulting is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee financial management and reporting for manufacturing operations in Laguna, Philippines. The role emphasizes cost accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, and internal controls to support business decisions and governance.

You will partner with operations and management to ensure accurate financial data, monitor performance against budgets, and lead a team responsible for timely, compliant reporting and financial planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA preferred but not required; strong non-CPA candidates with relevant experience will be considered.
  • 5–8 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, preferably with managerial responsibilities.
  • Manufacturing operations experience is required, with strong exposure to cost accounting and financial analysis.
  • Audit experience, preferably with a reputable local or international firm.
  • Strong experience in manufacturing costing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Exposure to financial investments, capital expenditure evaluation, financial modeling, or investment analysis.
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
  • Experience working with operations and senior management in manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial/accounting systems or ERP platforms.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day financial management supporting manufacturing operations.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
  • Lead cost accounting and manufacturing costing, including analysis of product costs and variances.
  • Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs to identify opportunities for cost efficiency and profitability.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Evaluate financial investments, capital expenditures, and ROI analyses.
  • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in coordination with operations.
  • Analyze actual versus budgeted performance and investigate significant variances.
  • Establish and maintain effective financial controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial data and reports.
  • Coordinate with auditors and support financial control assessments.
  • Identify financial and operational risks and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Work with manufacturing and operations to understand cost structures and inventory movements.
  • Support management in long-term financial planning and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop members of the finance and accounting team.

Job description

The Finance Manager will oversee financial management and reporting for manufacturing operations, with a strong focus on cost accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, investment evaluation, and internal financial controls. The role will work closely with operations and management to provide accurate financial insights, support business decisions, and ensure sound financial governance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee day-to-day financial management and accounting activities supporting manufacturing operations.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reports.
  • Lead cost accounting and manufacturing costing, including analysis of product costs, production expenses, variances, and cost drivers.
  • Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs to identify opportunities for improved cost efficiency and profitability.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Evaluate financial investments, capital expenditures, and potential business initiatives, including financial modeling and return-on-investment analysis.
  • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in coordination with operations and other business functions.
  • Analyze actual versus budgeted performance and investigate significant variances.
  • Establish and maintain effective financial controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial data and reports.
  • Coordinate with external and internal auditors and support audit requirements, reviews, and financial control assessments.
  • Identify financial and operational risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Work closely with manufacturing and operations teams to understand cost structures, production performance, inventory movements, and financial implications.
  • Support management in long‑term financial planning, business analysis, and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop members of the finance and accounting team.
