Job summary

Marsh Philippines is seeking an experienced Trade Credit & Political Risk Practice Leader to drive growth and strengthen market position from our Manila office. This hybrid role requires three days in the office weekly and close collaboration with local, regional, and global teams to deliver strategic client solutions.

You will lead a specialty practice, manage insurer relationships, and oversee complex placements while mentoring junior colleagues and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Risk Management or a related field.
• Significant experience in Trade Credit, Political Risk, Financial Lines or Commercial Insurance within an insurance broker, insurer or financial institution.
• Strong understanding of Trade Credit insurance products, policy structures and placement strategies.
• Demonstrated experience managing insurer relationships and negotiating complex insurance placements.
• Proven ability to build strong client relationships and deliver strategic risk advisory solutions.
• Excellent commercial acumen with experience driving business growth and developing new client opportunities.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence presenting to senior executives and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Trade Credit & Political Risk specialty practice for the Philippines and develop growth strategies.
• Build and maintain trusted client relationships with strategic risk advisory.
• Lead new business development and cross-selling across Marsh’s Specialty and Commercial businesses.
• Design, structure and negotiate complex Trade Credit insurance placements with brokers and insurers.
• Collaborate with regional and global teams to deliver innovative client solutions and market insights.
• Provide strategic guidance during renewals, placement, and policy implementation.
• Support clients through claims coordination with insurers and stakeholders.
• Develop relationships with insurers to improve market access and product innovation.
• Monitor market developments, insurer appetite, and regulatory changes relevant to Trade Credit.
