Manager, Taxation is a management role responsible for tax planning and strategy execution, including income tax accounting, tax reporting, and tax BIR audits. This role requires working with senior management and executives to align tax optimization with the organization’s operations and business development initiatives, consistent with tax laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the tax team through strategic tax planning, compliance‑related projects, and audit readiness.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of tax policies, programs, and practices; develop, update, and align agreements, including transfer pricing mechanisms.
- Evaluate tax implications for new transactions including tax planning and integration for Mergers and Acquisitions due diligence, new business ventures, and contracts.
- Manage all aspects of international and regional/local tax planning and reporting, including all forms of income tax and indirect tax, and all tax audits.
- Monitor tax developments and tax changes, including new international tax laws impacting the organization.
- Assess and guide the organization with potential tax impact opportunities and alternatives.
- Provide advice and leadership with technical and strategic tax guidance as a “Business Partner” relationship.
- Manage a team of tax professionals, providing leadership and mentoring.
- Oversee the strategy, assessment, and application of technology tools utilized by the tax function.
- Apply a continuous improvement mindset across the department.
- Manage outside counsel and consultants supporting the function’s tax planning and compliance.
- Oversee all assigned geographic tax compliance, reporting, and forecasting for the consolidated tax group.
- Review business transactions to identify tax implications and advise the business in structuring transactions efficiently.
Qualifications
- Business acumen, with knowledge and understanding of a wide range of business strategies, challenges, and opportunities.

- Technical tax knowledge in a specific area of tax and tax accounting.

- Academic qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance/accounting or related field preferred.
- Registered with a professional body as a Tax Practitioner.
- Advanced tax management experience in a corporate tax department and/or as a senior‑level tax professional in a public accounting firm.
- Advanced international tax experience with demonstrated knowledge of multiple international statutes and regulations across global jurisdictions and countries.
- Advanced track record of managing a group of tax professionals in a collaborative environment.
- Advanced general experience providing technical tax advisory and structuring support for commercial transactions.
- Advanced experience leading tax compliance.
