Job summary

Public Safety Mutual Benefit Fund, Inc. (PSMBFI) is seeking a seasoned manager for the Fund and Investment Management Department to efficiently manage cash flow, optimize investible funds, and oversee disbursements.

You will lead a team, forecast cash needs, and ensure proper accounting and reporting for all investments. The role requires a Bachelor’s in accounting/economics/finance and an MBA or related degree, with at least four years of managerial experience and strong knowledge of investment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Economics, Finance or related field.
• MBA or related post‑graduate degree and relevant trainings per recruitment policy.
• Minimum of 4 years of managerial experience in the same field.
• Knowledge of investment and financial products including trusts, stocks, bonds, and shares.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and controls activities of Fund and Investment Management Department.
• Ensures all investments, collections and disbursements are properly handled and accounted for.
• Manages asset and fund strategies as directed by management.
• Reviews proposals from banks related to cash management and investments.
• Oversees budget preparation and department performance.

Job description

To efficiently manage the company’s cash flow to ensure that target collections and all disbursement requirements of the company are met, as well as to optimize utilization of investible funds

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and controls activities of Fund and Investment Management Department
• Ensures that all collections are accounted for and properly deposited in company’s bank accounts
• Ensures that all disbursements are fully-funded
• Manages petty cash fund of PSMBFI
• Analyzes financial records to forecast company’s cash flow
• Provides cost-effective and profitable management of capital resources
• Reviews and makes recommendations on proposals of different banks related to cash management
• Identifies strategies investing asset and funds based on general direction set by management
• Recommends investment options through proper channels
• Reviews policies and procedures and recommends improvements, as needed
• Oversees the preparation and management of departmental budget
• Communicates issues and problems in a timely manner to management
• Ensures departmental targets are met through people management, performance review, reward and recognition
• Performs tasks as provided for in the updated and approved PSMBFI Operations Manual
• Performs other related functions as directed by superior

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Economics, Finance or any related course
• With MBA or related post‑graduate degree (based on PSMBFI’s Recruitment and Placement Policy) and relevant technical trainings
• With a minimum of 4 years related experience in managerial capacity in the same field
• With knowledge in investment and financial products including trusts, stocks, bonds, and shares
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Strong analytical, composition, prioritizing, and people‑management skills
