Job summary

Zuellig Pharma is seeking a Manager, Finance to govern tax reporting and compliance for OnePH Market under Philippine tax law. The role leads planning, reporting, and risk management to minimize liabilities and ensure regulatory adherence.

Responsibilities include overseeing accuracy and timeliness of returns, audits, and cross-functional collaboration while mentoring associates and guiding strategic decisions for the CFO.

Qualifications

• BS Accountancy degree required; CPA preferred.
• 7–10 years experience in finance/taxation in supervisory/managerial roles.
• Advanced degree and working knowledge of government reporting deadlines.
• Strong tax compliance expertise.
• Solid knowledge of Philippine corporate tax laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee tax compliance for OnePH Market, ensuring timely filing of income tax, VAT, and withholding tax.
• Provide strategic tax planning, assess tax implications, and identify savings opportunities.
• Lead tax audits and manage disputes with BIR and third-party auditors; respond to tax notices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and advise CFO on regulatory changes and impact.
• Coach Associates and mentor the finance team to build business acumen.

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for governing and ensuring OnePH Market’s tax reporting and compliance with the Philippine Tax Law and Regulations. The role spearheads the preparation of tax planning, reporting, in compliance with the Philippine law, minimizing disputes, risks and tax liabilities.

Quantitative/Qualitative

Tax Compliance

• Manages and reviews Accuracy and timeliness filling of all Tax Returns (Income Tax , VAT, withholding Tax)

Strategic Tax Planning

• Provides strategic planning, reviews and recommendations to minimize tax liabilities, tax savings, opportunities and risks.
• Evaluates the tax implications of company activities and develops strategies to minimize the tax obligations

Tax Audit and Dispute Resolutions

• Leads tax audits and reviews by BIR and 3rd party auditing Firm
• Executes negotiations, resolutions and responses to tax notices

Documentation and Cross Functional Collaboration

• Monitor changes to tax laws and regulations and provide recommendations on changes to existing policies or procedures.
• Advises management and reports to the CFO on future changes /updates of tax regulations and possible impact to the organization and business decisions

People Management

• Coach and mentor Associates in upskilling and business acumen

External stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of 4 year BS Accountancy course; CPA preferred.
• 7-10 yrs. Working experience in finance, taxation in supervisory and managerial capacity
• Advanced degree and working knowledge in government reportorial and its corresponding deadlines.
• Expertise in understanding of tax compliance.
• Strong knowledge and proficiency of Philippine corporate tax laws and regulations
