Job summary

Detpak Packaging Philippines, Inc. on site seeks a Manufacturing Financial professional to optimize profitability through rigorous analysis and disciplined follow-up. You will lead accurate financial reporting for Philippine Operations and drive cost reduction initiatives.

Ideal candidates are CPAs with 5+ years in accounting/analysis, 3+ years in manufacturing, and strong Excel/ERP costing skills. You will partner with management to translate numbers into actionable cost controls and efficiency

Qualifications

• CPA with strong commercial acumen in sales/manufacturing.

• Minimum 3 years in Factory/Manufacturing environment.
• High level of communication, leadership and integrity.

• Understanding of product costing using an ERP system.

• Knowledge of financial reporting software and ERP; advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Accurate completion and timely delivery of all Philippine Operations financial reporting.
• Prepare, analyse and report gross margin analysis; assist month-end close.
• Manufacturing cost accounting: investigate, analyse costs and variances; report.
• Manage budgeting process for Philippine Operations.
• Ensure strict cost control and CAPEX approvals per policy.
• Provide management with accurate information through standardized reports.
• Lead change management initiatives to improve efficiencies and reduce costs.
• Prepare labour, material and burden/overhead usage reports.
• Analyze raw material and WIP including aging; roll inventory forward.
• Manage petty cash with strong internal controls.

About the role

As the key Manufacturing Financial role on site you will identify, analyze, manage and make recommendations to optimize the drivers which deliver the efficiencies to our manufacturing operations. This role provides high quality direction based on analysis and investigation accompanied by strong follow up, with the aim of profit improvement and cost reduction.

Key responsibilities

• The accurate completion, prudent commercial analysis and timely delivery of all Philippine Operations financial reporting

• Prepare, analyse and report gross margin analysis and assist in month-end closing

• Manufacturing cost accounting involving investigation, analysis of costs and variances, follow up and reporting

• Management and maintenance of the Philippine Operations budgeting process

• Tight management of cost control ensuring that operating and capital expenditure is approved strictly in compliance with Company Policy and Authority Levels

• Drive accountability for adherence to standard practice back through the management team to ensure the provision of accurate information and the appropriate use of reports prepared for the business

• Sponsoring and delivering change management programs to the manufacturing operations focusing on improvements in efficiencies and costs

• Prepare and analyse labour, material and burden/overhead usage reports

• Raw material and WIP reporting (including aging), analyse inventory evaluation and inventory roll forward

• Manage the Petty Cash for the operations group while maintaining internal control documentation and test internal control

About you

• CPA and with a well-developed commercial acumen within a sales/manufacturing setting

• At least 5 years of experience as Accountant or Financial Analyst.

• Minimum of 3-year experience in Factory/Manufacturing environment

• High level of communication, leadership and personal integrity

• Exceptional analytical ability including translating analysis to action

• Must have an understanding of product costing using an ERP system

• High level of interpersonal skills in order to be able to work effectively and positively with personnel at all levels in the organisation

• Strong personal accountability for driving and delivering on targets and deadlines

• Knowledge of financial reporting software tools and ERP software (highly advantageous)

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel skills and powerpoint, Outlook (highly advantageous)
