Job summary

Yempo - Your Employees Offshore is seeking a Management Accountant for day shift with flexible work options (work from home or office). You will handle Xero reporting, budgeting and liaison with our Australian-based client, delivering high-quality financial management services for NFPs and other clients.

You will prepare financial statements, support audits, and contribute to process improvements while maintaining strict ISMS standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualified in an accounting discipline.
• CA/CPA qualification or working towards completion.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and publish Xero reports.
• Prepare draft Spotlight reports.
• Prepare Xero Workpapers.
• Prepare budget templates with known data and comparatives.
• Provide final reconciliations to auditors and answer queries.
• Draft statutory accounts if required by contract.
• Ensure compliance with taxation and other legislation (FBT, PAYG).
• Maintain knowledge of nonprofit accounting and compliance matters.
• ISMS compliance (information security policies and guidelines).

Our Client

In this position, you will be assigned to our Australian-based client. They are a Xero Advisor Certified Practiceand they providehigh-qualityfinancial managementservices to small,mediumand large organizations, supporting them tooperate, report and plan effectively.

You will be responsible for implementing high-quality accounting practices and quality communication both within the team and with clients to meet deadlines and achieve high customer satisfaction.

Your Responsibilities

• Prepare and publish Xero reports
• Prepare draft Spotlight reports
• Prepare Xero Workpapers
• Prepare budget templates, populate with known data and comparatives
• Prepare and provide final reconciliations to the auditors and answer queries
• Provide financial information for acquittals submit via funder portal where appropriate
• Draft Statutory accounts if required by the contract
• Ensure compliance with taxation and other legislation, including FBT and PAYG reporting
• Prepare FAQs/short articles on topics of interest re NFP accounting, finance, compliance and governance
• Maintain knowledge of NFP accounting and compliance matters
• Undertake projects as directed
• Comply with the Organization's Information Security Management System (ISMS), including all applicable information security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.

Your Background

• Tertiary qualified in an accounting discipline
• CA/CPA qualification or working towards completion
• The ability to troubleshoot inconsistencies and errors
• High level numeracy and reconciliation skills, with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy with figures
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities with peaks in demands
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills
• Xero certification
• Experience with any of the applications: Xero Suite, Spotlight Reporting, Google Suite, Freshdesk, Jetpack, ReceiptBank and Slack

Nice-to-have

• Non-profit accounting experience
• Proficiency with other accounting and reporting software
• Cross-cultural awareness
