Job summary

Shangri-La Group in Makati, Manila, is seeking a Repair & Maintenance Engineer for Makati Shangri-La. Under the guidance of the Director of Engineering, you will support daily operations, overseeing maintenance across Kitchen/Laundry, building and event spaces to ensure top-quality service.

The ideal candidate holds a Mechanical Engineering degree, PE or PME certification, fluent English, and a track record of hotel maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant PE certification preferred.
• At least 2 years as maintenance engineer in a large hotel.
• Total engineering experience around 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Engineering in daily duties.
• Repair and maintenance of Kitchen/Laundry, Building, Heart of the House areas, and all F&B outlets and function rooms.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies and Engineering Manual.

DUTIES

Under the general guidance and supervision of the Director of Engineering and within the limits established by Makati Shangri-La Hotel Manila policies, procedures and Engineering Manual, supports the Director of Engineering in the performance of all his duties and provides all necessary assistance and information specially in the repair and maintenance of Kitchen/Laundry section, Building, Heart of the House areas and all F&B outlets and function rooms.

Requirements

• Oral and written fluency in English.
• Graduate of a Mechanical Engineering bachelor's degree course.
• Professional Electrical Engineer (PEE) or Mechanical Engineer (PME).
• 2 years as Repair & Maintenance Engineer in a similar size hotel.
• 10 years of experience in the field of Engineering.
• Self-starter, team builder, goal-oriented.
• Tactful and sensitive to employee needs.
• Positive role model with good sense of humor.
• Local package offered.
