Makati Shangri-La, Manila is seeking a Plant Technician to maintain the safe operation of the hotel’s power plant and machine room, ensuring all equipment runs efficiently. You will perform preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems, handle plumbing work, and support the Duty Engineer while coordinating with other departments to keep guest satisfaction high.

Strong communication in English and the local language, good health, and a proactive, safety-minded attitude are essential

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in the same field.
• Demonstrates OH&S awareness and compliance.
• Certificate from Technical College in Mechanics or Electricity.
• Fluent in English and local language.
• Physically fit and able to work in a hotel maintenance environment.
• Willing to supervise shift technicians.

Responsabilités

• Maintain the safe and efficient operation of the Power Plant and Machine Room and their auxiliaries.
• Perform preventive maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Be familiar with electrical, mechanical, and plumbing works.
• Assist the Duty Engineer in supervising shift technicians.
• Liaise with departments to prioritize work orders for guest satisfaction.
• Participate in the hotel ERT during emergencies.
• Provide technical assistance to contractors and other technicians.
• Use computer applications for documentation.
• Perform other tasks as directed by supervisors.
