Job summary

Luxottica in Biñan, Philippines, is seeking a Maintenance Equipment Engineering (MEE) Controls Engineer to design, maintain, and optimize PLC/HMI control systems for lens manufacturing equipment. You will troubleshoot, integrate sensors, drives, and networks, and support installation, testing, and validation to maximize uptime.

The role requires 3+ years in PLC/HMI programming within manufacturing, with strong knowledge of sensors, drives, and industrial networks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in PLC and HMI programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in industrial automation systems, including sensors, drives, and networks.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.
• Exposure to precision manufacturing, cleanroom operations, or highly automated production environments is an advantage.
• Proven experience collaborating with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to support operational goals.

Your Role:

Specific Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in PLC and HMI programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in industrial automation systems, including sensors, drives, and communication networks (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
• Experience in equipment commissioning, validation, and control system optimization to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.
• Exposure to precision manufacturing, cleanroom operations, or highly automated production environments is an advantage.
• Proven experience collaborating with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to support operational goals.
• Familiarity with CMMS and other maintenance documentation systems for work order management and record-keeping.
