Job summary

Luxottica, a global eyewear leader, seeks a Maintenance Equipment Engineering Supervisor in Biñan, Philippines to oversee maintenance of production equipment, lead technicians, and ensure uptime and safety while driving continuous improvement. The role collaborates with engineering and production teams to optimize plant performance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance, 3+ years in team leadership, and strong CMMS experience (SAP PM, Maximo, eMaint).

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing or plant maintenance.
• At least 3 years managing maintenance teams.
• Proficient with CMMS platforms (SAP PM, Maximo, eMaint, MP2).
• Experience with conveyors, ovens, robotics, injection molding, packaging equipment.
• Basic to intermediate control systems, sensors, PLCs knowledge.
• Familiar with Lean TPM or Six Sigma is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance activities, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive tasks.
• Lead and schedule maintenance staff for optimal coverage and productivity.
• Maintain CMMS for work orders, assets, and parts.
• Ensure maintenance complies with safety and environmental regulations.
• Analyze root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering and production on improvements.
• Assist in equipment upgrades or replacements.
• Train and mentor technicians; identify skill gaps.

Your Role:

We are looking for a Maintenance Equipment Supervisor who will oversee the maintenance and repair of all production equipment and facility systems. This role ensures maximum equipment uptime, safety, and efficiency by leading a team of technicians, managing preventive maintenance programs, and coordinating with other departments.

Main Responsibilities:

• Supervises daily maintenance activities, including troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Leads and schedules maintenance personnel to ensure optimal coverage and productivity.
• Maintains and updates the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for tracking work orders, assets, and parts.
• Ensures all maintenance work complies with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Conducts root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Collaborates with engineering and production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assists in planning and implementing equipment upgrades or replacements.
• Trains and mentors maintenance technicians; identify skill gaps and provide development opportunities.
• Manages spare parts inventory to minimize downtime while controlling costs.
• Assists in the preparation of the maintenance budget and track expenditures.

A Portrait of a Suitable Candidate

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial operations, or plant maintenance environment.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience managing maintenance teams or leading skilled trades personnel.
• Proficient in CMMS platforms (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, eMaint, or MP2).
• Experience maintaining conveyors, ovens, robotics, injection molding equipment, packaging, and taping machines.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of control systems, sensors, and PLCs.
• Familiarity with industrial automation and networked equipment (e.g., Ethernet/IP, SCADA, and HMI).
• Experience participating in equipment upgrades, facility expansions, or capital improvement projects.
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), or Six Sigma methodologies is highly desirable.
