Job summary

TechBee is seeking a QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise applications running on IBM z/OS mainframe platforms, with a focus on CICS online transactions.

You will analyze requirements, design and execute functional and integration tests, validate batch and online workflows, manage defects, and collaborate with development, business analysis, and operations teams throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in QA for mainframe applications, especially CICS transactions.
• Ability to design test strategies and create test data and traceability.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (Azure DevOps, Jira).

Responsibilities

• Review requirements and identify test conditions, risks, and coverage gaps.
• Develop and maintain test plans, scenarios, cases, data, and evidence.
• Execute functional, regression, and integration tests for CICS transactions and batch jobs.
• Validate screen flows, JCL execution results, and data integrity.
• Log, triage, retest, and track defects to closure with clear reproduction steps.
• Collaborate across teams to resolve issues and assess release readiness.
• Identify regression scenarios for automation and contribute to reusable assets.
