Private Advertiser in the Philippines seeks a skilled Machine Technician to inspect, maintain, and repair heavy equipment on construction sites. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safe operation while following safety policies.
Responsibilities cover servicing excavators, loaders, cranes, and similar machinery; coordinate with site teams and maintain detailed service records. Overtime may be required to support project timelines.
Inspect construction machinery and equipment regularly to identify mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and other technical issues.
Perform preventive maintenance, servicing, adjustments, and repairs on heavy equipment and construction machines.
Diagnose machine problems and determine the appropriate repair or replacement of defective parts.
Troubleshoot engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and other machine components.
Conduct routine oil changes, lubrication, filter replacement, and other scheduled maintenance activities.
Repair and maintain equipment such as excavators, backhoes, loaders, bulldozers, cranes, generators, compressors, and other construction machinery.
Test machines after repairs to ensure proper and safe operation.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, repairs, spare parts, and machine service history.
Coordinate with operators, supervisors, and project personnel regarding equipment condition and repair requirements.
Ensure that all repairs and maintenance activities comply with company safety policies and equipment manufacturer recommendations.
Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and perform on-site troubleshooting when required.
Maintain tools, equipment, spare parts, and the work area in a clean and organized condition.
Report major equipment defects, recurring problems, and safety concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor or Project Manager.
Follow proper occupational health and safety procedures when working with heavy machinery and construction equipment.
High school graduate; technical/vocational training in Mechanical Technology, Heavy Equipment Technology, Automotive Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience as a Machine Technician, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Equipment Technician, or similar position.
Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems.
Ability to read equipment manuals, technical diagrams, and service specifications.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to use basic diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools.
Physically fit and capable of working in construction sites and outdoor environments.
Willing to work overtime, weekends, or extended hours when required by project operations.
Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and proper handling of tools and machinery.
A valid driver's license or relevant equipment-related certification is an advantage.
