Job summary

LSERV Corporation seeks a diligent Scanning Operator to prepare books for digitization and oversee high-speed scanning. You will ensure proper alignment, maintain output quality, and apply consistent file naming for easy retrieval.

Responsibilities include performing quality checks, uploading images to the client cloud, and handing over books with covers to the Scanning Team, ensuring a smooth pre-scanning workflow and accurate documentation throughout the process.

Pre-Scanning Preparation (Grooming)

• Sort and prepare documents for scanning (removing staple wires or excess glue, fixing folds, etc.)
• Proper hand-over of books including the cover to Scanning Team

Scanning Operations

• Operate high-speed scanners to efficiently digitize books, ensuring proper alignment, optimal resolution, and high-quality output throughout the scanning process
• Conduct thorough quality checks of scanned images
• Assign appropriate file naming conventions for each book

Quality Checking

• Perform quality checks to verify that it complies to the Scanning Guidelines
• Ensure files are named correctly and according to the Scanning Guidelines
• Upload scanned images to the designated client Cloud Storage platform
