Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior Associate in Transaction Analytics to deliver data-driven insights across mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other corporate finance engagements. You will work with large datasets to identify value drivers, risks, and trends informing client decisions throughout the transaction lifecycle.

You will collaborate with EY transaction teams, clients, and stakeholders, leveraging analytics, financial data, and BI tools to support high-impact transactions.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in transaction analytics, financial analysis, audit, consulting, or related fields.
• Strong analytical skills with experience handling large, complex datasets.
• Proficiency in Excel and at least one analytics/BI tool (Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, SQL).
• Solid understanding of financial statements and transaction concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform data-driven analysis to support M&A, divestiture, carve-out, and restructuring engagements.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, risks, and value opportunities.
• Support financial due diligence through transaction analytics (revenue, cost, working capital, margin).
• Build and maintain data models, dashboards, and visualizations using BI tools.
• Translate complex analytical findings into clear insights and recommendations for clients and EY stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including due diligence, valuation, tax, and technology.
• Assist in project management, tracking deliverables, timelines, and data requests.
• Review work by junior team members and provide coaching and feedback.
