We are seeking a Luxury Retail Architect to join our team as a dedicated production and design resource for an established US-based architectural firm with a broad portfolio spanning civic, commercial office, hospitality, and high-end luxury retail work. This role will focus primarily on luxury retail projects, including multi-story flagship stores for global brands, with the flexibility to contribute across a diverse range of project types.

This role will collaborate closely with on-site project teams, design architects, and consultants to deliver detailed, buildable documentation on fast-track timelines. The ideal candidate is a licensed architect with deep luxury retail experience, strong production skills, and the leadership to mentor junior and intermediate staff while keeping projects moving from schematic design through construction completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support architectural production across luxury retail projects, including multi-story flagship stores for global brands.
• Produce construction documents, technical drawings, elevations, sections, and detail sets, including door schedules, stairwell details, and other technical documentation.
• Collaborate with on-site project teams, design architects, and consultants to ensure coordinated, buildable documentation.
• Manage fast-track project timelines, with design through construction completion often delivered in under 12 months.
• Mentor and guide junior and intermediate staff on production workflows and documentation standards.
• Manage projects from schematic design through construction documents.
• Adapt to varying project types as needed across a wide and diverse project portfolio.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated luxury retail project experience, including flagship stores, high-end brand fit-outs, and multi-story retail.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experience working with US-based architectural firms and familiarity with US building codes.
• Proven ability to manage projects from schematic design through construction documents.
• Experience mentoring or guiding junior and intermediate team members.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong organizational, coordination, and time-management skills, with the ability to perform on fast-track schedules.
• California building code experience is a plus.
• Experience with Enscape is a plus, but not required.
