Job summary

The Embassy of Canada to the Philippines is seeking a Common Service Officer (Logistics and Protocol) to lead and coordinate mission-wide logistics and protocol services, including VIP visits, transportation, and incident response. The role requires at least three years in logistics or operational support, plus one year supervising staff.

Proficiency in English and Filipino is required; knowledge of government agencies and budgeting is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience managing logistics or operational support services.
• Experience managing multiple activities, projects, events, or requests with deadlines.
• Experience coordinating transportation, accommodations, inventory, or other resources.
• Minimum one year supervising staff.
• Knowledge of business admin, events management, project management, leadership and data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate logistics for VIP visits, ministerial visits, delegations, trade missions and events.
• Supervise staff, set objectives, monitor work, and conduct performance management.
• Develop visit programs, movement plans, and contingency arrangements.
• Be the primary contact for protocol and logistics, resolve inquiries, escalate issues.
• Maintain relationships with host-government officials, service providers, and suppliers.
• Oversee mission-wide logistics services, including fleet coordination and service standards.
• Monitor local developments and prepare reports, briefings, and recommendations.
• Support budget planning, procurement, and contract administration activities.
• Prepare correspondence, reports, and briefing materials.
• Provide guidance and training on protocol and logistics matters.
