Job summary

Asia Peopleworks Inc. in the Philippines seeks a reliable forklift and truck driver to join our logistics team in Laguna. You will perform daily pre-operation checks, drive 6-wheeler trucks, shuttle buses, and cars, and coordinate with foremen to report delays or hazards.

The role requires a high-school diploma, a valid license (codes 1,2,3), and knowledge of government driving rules. Experience in forklift operation and customer-service mindset are preferred, with flexibility for shifting

Responsibilities

• Daily pre-operation checks of delivery trucks.
• Maintain communication with foreman and report delays or issues by phone or SMS.
• Perform safety inspections to ensure compliance with government and company rules.
• Periodically check cargo during transport to ensure safe delivery.
• Demonstrate safe driving and observe speed limits; ensure proper rest.
• Follow safety rules at customer sites and company warehouses.
• Complete delivery checks and manage pallet and truck capacity.
• Monitor forklift operators and report non-compliance.
• Wear PPE and support other forklift operators when needed.
• Act as logistics team leader during transit and support shuttle service.

Job Requirements

• At least high-school graduate
• Must have good communication skill
• Must have a valid professional drivers license with restriction code 1,2,3
• Experience and flexible in driving 6 wheeler-truck, shuttle buses, and 4 wheels car
• Must be familiar with Government agencies driving and traffic regulations.
• Customer service experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours and shifting schedule
• Knowledgeable in Forklift Operation (requirement but not a must)

Responsibilities

• Daily checking of delivery trucks utilizing pre-operation checksheet
• Maintain consistent and regular communication with foreman and promptly inform Thru phone call or SMS of potential causes for delay such as inclement weather, flat tires and any abnormality they will encounter.
• Perform regular safety inspections on vehicle to ensure compliance with government and company regulations by utilizing pre-operation check sheet and conduct Short KY.
• Periodically check cargo during transport to ensure safe delivery and limit risk of unforeseen events.
• Demonstrate safe and responsible driving at all times including but not limited to observing speed limits, signaling appropriately and getting adequate nightly rest and follow standard in truck maneuvering and reversing.
• Ensure to follow all safety rules and regulations at customer side and AAPH side.
• Performs delivery checks before departure and see to it that the delivery is in conformity with the standards:
• Pallet Piling
• Truck Capacity
• Roping and ratchet Standard
• Truck Covering /slider cover
• Account the return of Steel Pallets and other returnable materials from Customers and records it to Pallet Monitoring Sheet and materials checksheet for its completeness.
• Monitors the activities of Logistics Forklift Operator and reports to Logistics Section Head for any non-compliance against standards.
• Ensure good health condition at all times and daily checking and recording of Blood pressure / Breath analyzer (for alcohol intake) and body temperature.
• Always wear proper PPE and follow safety standards inside customers premises and AAPH warehouses.
• Work as back-up/reliever of Forklift Operator / helper when the need arises.
• Act as Logistics Team leader during in-transit.
• Supports other section in transferring of WIP glass and driver of shuttle service.
