Job summary

Innodata Inc. is seeking a Logistics & Asset Coordinator to manage movement, tracking, deployment, maintenance, and recovery of devices and assets supporting large-scale data collection programs.

You will oversee asset inventory, shipping and receiving, device provisioning, inventory accuracy, loss prevention, and site readiness to ensure teams have the equipment and materials required to execute projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field as listed.
• 2+ years in asset management, inventory control, logistics coordination, or related roles.
• Experience managing inventory and physical assets in a professional environment.
• Experience coordinating shipments and tracking equipment movement.
• Familiarity with inventory management tools and asset tracking systems.
• Experience supporting operational or project-based environments.

Responsibilities

Job description

As Logistics & Asset Coordinator, you will manage the movement, tracking, deployment, maintenance, and recovery of devices and operational assets supporting large-scale data collection programs. The role plays a critical role in ensuring collection teams have the equipment, technology, and materials required to successfully execute projects. This role oversees asset inventory, shipping and receiving, device provisioning, inventory accuracy, loss prevention, and site readiness activities.

What You'll Do

Asset Management

• Maintain ownership of all operational assets throughout their lifecycle.
• Track inventory of smartphones, tablets, cameras, grippers, wearables, sensors, laptops, accessories, and other project equipment.
• Ensure accurate asset allocation, assignment, utilization, and recovery.
• Monitor asset availability and proactively plan for future project needs.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliation activities.
• Maintain accurate asset records and inventory databases.

Device Deployment & Recovery

• Coordinate device provisioning and deployment for new projects.
• Ensure devices are properly configured, labeled, and prepared before deployment.
• Manage collection, return, refurbishment, and redeployment processes.
• Coordinate device resets, software updates, and readiness checks.
• Track damaged, missing, or retired assets.
• Work with vendors and internal teams to repair or replace equipment as necessary.

Logistics Operations

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments of project equipment.
• Manage shipping schedules, courier relationships, and delivery timelines.
• Ensure equipment arrives at collection sites before project launch.
• Monitor shipment status and proactively address delivery delays.
• Coordinate transfers between offices, collection sites, vendors, and remote teams.
• Maintain shipment documentation and chain-of-custody records.

Inventory Control

• Maintain accurate inventory counts and stock levels.
• Implement inventory tracking procedures and best practices.
• Monitor asset movement and investigate discrepancies.
• Develop inventory forecasting reports to support operational planning.
• Ensure critical equipment stock remains available for project launches.
• Support procurement planning through inventory reporting and asset forecasts.

Site Readiness Support

• Ensure collection sites are fully equipped before project launch.
• Coordinate setup of operational equipment, devices, accessories, and supplies.
• Verify equipment functionality and operational readiness.
• Support site expansion and capacity growth initiatives.
• Coordinate relocation and deployment of equipment between project locations.

Equipment Maintenance & Compliance

• Monitor equipment health and maintenance requirements.
• Coordinate repairs, replacements, upgrades, and servicing activities.
• Ensure assets comply with security, privacy, and operational standards.
• Maintain asset documentation including warranties, serial numbers, and maintenance records.
• Support security audits and compliance reviews.
