BPI DIRECT BANKO, INC. A SAVINGS BANK invites a Loan Associate to help originate loans and manage a healthy portfolio. The role focuses on soliciting accounts, assessing requirements, and ensuring proper funding structures for clients in the branch area.
The position emphasizes field work (about 95%), strong sales acumen, and deep familiarity with the local markets. A 4-year degree in Finance/Management/Economics is preferred.
The Loan Associate is responsible in the achievement of loan origination target and maintenance of good loan portfolio quality of the originated loans. Also responsible in relationship management/account servicing to help ensure maintenance of good loan portfolio quality.
1. Identifies, solicits and maintains desirable loan accounts in the assigned area of responsibility.
2. Implements identified marketing strategies geared towards the achievement of loan origination target.
3. Gathers, assesses and validates loan documentary requirements and salient business information on a first hand/personalized basis both on operational and financial aspects necessary as basis for credit evaluation/review and decision.
4. Assesses the most appropriate funding structure and utilization suitable to the clients based on the business' present needs.
5. Implements pro-active account monitoring and servicing activities to help ensure maintenance of good loan portfolio quality.
6. Provides inputs for the improvement of existing policies and guidelines of the lending operation
7. Performs other tasks as may be assigned by the supervising Business Manager of the Financial Inclusion and Microfinance Solutions Group.
Minimum Skills/Qualifications:
1. Graduate of a 4-year degree course, preferably in business-related disciplines (Finance / Management/ Economics, etc.)
2. Previous sales experience is needed but also open to fresh graduates with good sales acumen
3. Familiarity with the community of the branch (main markets, target segment, local network and connections, etc.).
4. Willing to do field work (95% of the time).
