Loan and Savings Head
Responsible for overseeing the entire loan and savings department within the financial institution. The Loan and Savings Head manages a team of professionals, ensures compliance with regulations, drives loan and deposit growth, and maximizes profitability through strategic evaluation of credit risks and product optimization for both loan and savings accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of loan officers, savings representatives, and related staff.
- Set performance goals, provide coaching and professional development opportunities, and evaluate team performance.
- Monitor individual productivity and identify areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth loan processing and customer service.
Loan Origination & Underwriting
- Oversee the loan application process, including credit evaluation, income verification, and collateral assessment.
- Ensure adherence to credit policies and guidelines to minimize loan risks.
- Review complex loan applications and make lending decisions within credit authority.
- Ensure that all loan products comply with relevant banking regulations and industry standards.
Compliance & Strategy
- Ensure up-to-date adherence to all lending and savings regulations, laws including consumer protection laws.
- Prepare and submit accurate loan and deposit reports to senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure the integrity of financial data and transaction records.
- Monitor and report on loan portfolio performance, identifying areas of risk and implementing strategies for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving savings account products and loan offerings.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in loan and savings management.
- Bachelor's degree required.
