Law Assist Pty Ltd seeks a proactive Litigation Paralegal in Australia to manage end-to-end support across complex disputes and court proceedings. You will anchor active matters, coordinate court filings, perform document review and discovery, and assist with legal research and trial preparation under senior counsel.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to manage end-to-end support across complex legal disputes and court proceedings. In this position, you will serve as a core anchor for active litigation matters, taking ownership of case file management, procedural court filings, evidentiary document review, and critical legal research. This role offers an excellent opportunity to manage high-impact legal operations and work closely with senior legal counsel in a fast-paced environment.
Case Management & Court Procedures:
Coordinate court filings, service of process, and compliance with tribunal and jurisdiction-specific procedural rules.
Maintain master case calendars, tracking key litigation deadlines, court appearances, discovery timelines, and filing dates.
Document Review & Discovery:
Review, analyze, and index voluminous evidence, contracts, and correspondence for discovery and disclosure.
Conduct initial privilege reviews and compile organized exhibit lists and court bundles.
Legal Research & Analysis:
Execute targeted legal research using online databases to analyze relevant statutes, regulations, and case precedents.
Draft initial research summaries, legal memoranda, and case chronologies to support litigation strategy.
Drafting & Document Preparation:
Draft foundational legal documents, including legal correspondence, affidavits, subpoenas, list of documents, and formal pleadings under direction.
Proofread and format legal documents to ensure strict compliance with court style guides and precision standards.
Trial Preparation & Ad Hoc Operations:
Prepare comprehensive trial briefs, witness folders, and court books for hearings and trials.
Manage administrative operations, maintain client matter files, and handle ad hoc support duties as litigation demands evolve.
Required: Australian paralegal litigation experience.
Preferred: A law degree or Paralegal certification.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in legal research, document review, and legal document preparation.
