Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Makati is seeking a Senior Linux Engineer to design and implement deployment automation for Linux systems across on-prem and cloud environments, with emphasis on Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, and scalable infra.

You will collaborate with application teams to standardize OS templates, ensure security and high availability, troubleshoot issues, and keep pace with evolving infrastructure technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Master’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in Linux technologies and deployments.
• 6+ years of experience in infrastructure design and implementation.
• 5+ years’ experience in managing the lifecycle of infrastructure architectures.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code and CI/CD.
• Strong knowledge of Ansible, Git, Terraform and AWX.
• Strong knowledge of Linux OS (RH/SUSE) with certifications.
• Experience with AWS, Azure and with Docker & Kubernetes is a plus.
• Jenkins, Spacewalk.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and client-facing skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

YOUR ROLE

The primary purpose of the Senior Linux Engineer role is to lead the design and implementation of Linux deployment automation strategies, utilizing expertise in Ansible, CI/CD pipelines. This role focuses on creating efficient and streamlined processes for deploying Linux systems within the company's IT infrastructure and cloud hyperscalers (AWS/GCP), optimizing productivity and scalability.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

• Design and maintain the Linux automation engine responsible for the deployment of all VMs and Cloud VMs.
• Collaborate with application teams to come up with linux OS standards and templates for their apps.
• Ensure that solutions are scalable, highly available, and secure.
• Understand and implement best practices for infrastructure as code and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues during implementation phase in a timely manner.
• Continuously monitor and improve infrastructure and application performance.
• Keep up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends in infrastructure design and management.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Preferably with Master's degree or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in Linux technologies and deployments.
• 6+ years of experience in infrastructure design and implementation.
• 5+ years' experience in managing the lifecycle of infrastructure architectures.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Strong knowledge of Ansible, Git, Terraform and AWX.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (RH/SUSE) with certifications.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure providers such as AWS, Azure and with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
