Job summary

The Abaca Group Inc. in Metro Manila is seeking a Kitchen Staff to support food preparation, mise en place, and cleanliness in a fast-paced kitchen. The role requires dishwashing, stock preparation, and daily equipment checks to ensure smooth operations.

Ideal candidates have 6 months to 1 year of kitchen experience, basic cooking knowledge, and a collaborative mindset. This is a full-time, in-person position with benefits such as HMO and accident insurance.

Qualifications

• A graduate of Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related course is an advantage.
• At least 6 months to 1 year of experience as a Kitchen Staff or similar kitchen role in a restaurant, hotel, or food service environment.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively collaborate with a kitchen team.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow as part of a pioneering team.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring food preparation and mise en place, and that all areas of the kitchen and food storage areas are clean.
• Does mise en place to prepare enough stocks for the operations demand to be consistent in providing fast service.
• Checks food preparation equipment daily.
• Checks and maintains a high standard of cleanliness in the restaurant outlet.
• Performs dish washing, equipment washing and sanitizing duties.
• Checks food preparation equipment daily.
