Job summary

LYTHAUS LIGHTING SUPPLY is seeking an Architect (Lighting Designer) to develop lighting designs and support architectural projects. You will work closely with clients, engineers, and project teams to deliver effective, visually appealing lighting solutions.

The role involves creating lighting concepts, plans, and presentations, coordinating with stakeholders, and conducting site visits to ensure designs are properly implemented. 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in architecture is required.
• 2+ years of experience in lighting design or related fields.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/SketchUp or similar software.
• Knowledge of DIALux is a plus.
• Excellent design, communication and presentation skills.
• Willing to conduct fieldwork and client visits.

Responsibilities

• Develop lighting concepts, layouts, and design presentations.
• Prepare lighting plans and technical drawings using AutoCAD and SketchUp.
• Use DIALux for lighting calculations and simulations when required.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and project teams.
• Conduct site inspections and assist with project coordination.
• Review project requirements and ensure designs meet specifications.
• Assist in selecting appropriate lighting fixtures and solutions.
• Prepare design presentations and communicate concepts to clients.
• Monitor project implementation to ensure designs are properly executed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
