Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer – Water Projects to join our municipal services client in Chihuahua, Mexico. The role focuses on planning, designing, and implementing potable water treatment and distribution systems, with emphasis on hydraulic analyses and cost-effective delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Hydraulic or Water Resources Engineering.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent is a strong asset.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in potable water projects design and management.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee the development of potable water treatment plants and distribution systems.
• Conduct hydraulic analyses for water networks, including flow, pressure, and capacity assessments.
• Prepare detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for water projects.
• Ensure compliance with national and local water quality standards and environmental regulations.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for water supply infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with construction teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies throughout project execution.
• Perform site investigations and feasibility studies for new water supply initiatives.
• Develop and implement strategies for optimizing water distribution and reducing losses.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing water systems.
