Job summary

GECO Asia Pte. Ltd. is hiring a Legal Content Editor to ensure legislative content is accurate, complete, and up to date across Statutes, Court Rules, and Administrative Codes.

You will review, edit, format, and proofread content for publication, adhering to jurisdictional standards and deadlines. The role requires strong English editing skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with XML/editing tools. Collaboration with editors, analysts, and SMEs across jurisdictions is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; legal background preferred.
• Strong grammar, spelling, proofreading, and editing skills.
• Attention to detail with ability to spot inconsistencies in complex information.
• Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and web research.
• Experience with XML/editing tools (Arbortext, similar) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review updates, amendments, and repeals in statutory content.
• Copy-edit for grammar, spelling, clarity, and style per jurisdiction.
• Format materials for publication, applying required tags and markup.
• Proofread to ensure accuracy and completeness before publication.
• Coordinate with SMEs and stakeholders to resolve questions.
