Job summary

MicroSourcing, based in Pasay City, Philippines, is seeking a Lease Accountant to join onsite night shift. You will manage IFRS 16 lease accounting, maintain LeaseQuery, and coordinate ERP integrations to support accurate rent amortization and ROUs.

The role requires 4–6 years of lease/accounting experience, strong IFRS 16 or US GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with ERP systems. You will collaborate across finance, procurement, and operations to ensure precise financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4–6 years in general or lease accounting, ideally in a multi-regional/multi-currency environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 16 (or US GAAP) as it relates to lease accounting.
• Hands-on experience with LeaseQuery and ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite).
• Proven ability to perform reconciliations, manage month-end close, and prepare audit footnote disclosures on time.

• Prepare and post monthly rent amortization, accruals, and RO U assets/liabilities.
• Reconcile lease liabilities subledger, GL, and lease expense accounts.
• Support month-end close, year-end close, audits, and tax/insurance reporting with detailed lease data.

Your Role

As a Lease Accountant, you will:

• Review and interpret complex commercial real estate and equipment leases to ensure accurate accounting under IFRS 16.
• Maintain the lease accounting software system (LeaseQuery) and manage integrations with the core ERP system.
• Prepare and post monthly rent amortization, accruals, and right-of-use (ROU) asset and liability journal entries.
• Reconcile lease liabilities subledger accounts, general ledger accounts, and ancillary lease expense accounts.
• Support month-end close, year-end close, external audits, and tax/insurance reporting with detailed lease data and schedules.
  
  

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4 to 6 years of experience in general accounting or dedicated lease accounting, preferably in a multi-regional/multi-currency environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS 16 (or US GAAP) as it relates to lease accounting and Right-of-Use (ROU) accounting.
• Hands-on experience working with dedicated lease accounting software (e.g., LeaseQuery) and enterprise ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite).
• Proven capability to perform account reconciliations, manage month-end close schedules, and prepare audit footnote disclosures on time.
  
  

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Experience working within a Shared Services Center (SSC) environment for global operations.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex functions).
• Fluency in the Spanish language (spoken and written).
• Strong continuous improvement mindset to reduce manual effort, standardize processes, and strengthen internal controls.
• Excellent cross-functional business partnering and communication skills to collaborate with procurement, legal, operations, and finance teams.
