Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a Lease Accountant to manage complex lease accounting under IFRS 16. You will maintain LeaseQuery, oversee ERP integrations (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite), and handle monthly rent amortization, accruals, and ROUs. The role requires 4–6 years of experience and strong reconciliation skills.

Onsite in Pasay City with night shift, you will support month-end and year-end closes, audits, and regulatory reporting, contributing to a global SSC environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4–6 years of general or lease accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 16/US GAAP for lease accounting.
• Experience with LeaseQuery and major ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite).
• Proven ability to perform reconciliations and month-end close.

Your Role

As a Lease Accountant, you will:

• Review and interpret complex commercial real estate and equipment leases to ensure accurate accounting under IFRS 16.
• Maintain the lease accounting software system (LeaseQuery) and manage integrations with the core ERP system.
• Prepare and post monthly rent amortization, accruals, and right-of-use (ROU) asset and liability journal entries.
• Reconcile lease liabilities subledger accounts, general ledger accounts, and ancillary lease expense accounts.
• Support month-end close, year-end close, external audits, and tax/insurance reporting with detailed lease data and schedules.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4 to 6 years of experience in general accounting or dedicated lease accounting, preferably in a multi-regional/multi-currency environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS 16 (or US GAAP) as it relates to lease accounting and Right-of-Use (ROU) accounting.
• Hands-on experience working with dedicated lease accounting software (e.g., LeaseQuery) and enterprise ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite).
• Proven capability to perform account reconciliations, manage month-end close schedules, and prepare audit footnote disclosures on time.

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Experience working within a Shared Services Center (SSC) environment for global operations.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex functions).
• Fluency in the Spanish language (spoken and written).
• Strong continuous improvement mindset to reduce manual effort, standardize processes, and strengthen internal controls.
• Excellent cross-functional business partnering and communication skills to collaborate with procurement, legal, operations, and finance teams.
