Job summary

Burns & McDonnell India (BMI) T&D Pipelines seeks a dynamic Lead Structural Engineer to support the Pipeline Engineering and Design Team in Bengaluru. You will lead engineers and designers on EPC projects, focusing on M&R, compressor stations, RNG plants, and related structures from concept through detailed design.

The role requires strong knowledge of AISC, ACI, IBC and hands-on use of RISA, STAAD, AutoCAD, and Mathcad, plus mentoring staff and ensuring QA/QC throughout project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering; minimum 12 years’ experience; master’s may substitute for one year.
• Advanced knowledge of AISC, ACI, IBC, PIP.
• Proficient with structural analysis software (RISA, STAAD) and design tools (AutoCAD, Mathcad).
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork, organization and problem-solving.
• Ability to present information clearly and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers and designers to execute M&R, compressor stations, and RNG plant EPC projects.
• Provide leadership, training and mentoring to less experienced staff.
• Oversee structural design of projects from concept to detailed design.
• Analyze and design structures and foundations for steel and substructures.
• Prepare structural specifications and calculations for components and foundations.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, clients, and vendors; ensure QA/QC adherence.
