Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Engineer – Rail Structures to lead design teams on UK projects from Bangalore, delivering robust rail bridge and structure designs to relevant standards.

You will mentor engineers, drive innovation, manage client relationships, and oversee QA/QC while applying British Standards, Eurocodes, and Network Rail guidelines to deliver safe, efficient, and sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

• BE (Civil) and MTech (Structures) degrees with 10+ years of bridge design consulting.
• Chartered Engineer with ICE or IStructE, or actively pursuing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee a team of engineers and BIM technicians on complex projects, coordinating with other disciplines.
• Engage with lead regions to define task scope and drive delivery of the scope.
• Understand codes and standards and develop solutions from first principles.
• Apply design techniques, BIM/data visualization, and presentation skills.
• Evaluate options, develop preliminary and detailed designs for permanent and temporary works, and provide site support.
• Flag risks and ensure QA/QC per GEC Management System, while building client relationships.
