Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead QA Automation Engineer to safeguard the quality of an enterprise AI platform centered on MCP Servers. You will design testing strategies and build Python-based automated suites for APIs, tools, and integrations, ensuring reliability of distributed backend components.

You will lead test efforts, collaborate with multi-national teams, embed testing in CI/CD, and guide junior testers to advance quality practices across the project.

Qualifications

5+ years of QA/testing experience
Led development or QA teams for 1+ year
Strong knowledge of MCP Server/Model Context Protocol
Hands-on Python automation and API testing
Experience with distributed backend systems and microservices
Familiarity with CI/CD workflows
Excellent English communication (B2+)

Responsibilities

Define QA strategy from product and architecture specs
Build Python-based automated tests for MCP Servers and integrations
Validate MCP protocol functions, tool discovery and auth
Test agent–MCP–tool end-to-end flows and security cases
Assess performance, scalability, and production readiness of MCP services
Embed automated testing in CI/CD pipelines
Investigate test failures and drive fixes with engineers
