Job summary

Dempsey Resource Management Inc. in Mandaluyong City is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to lead full lifecycle development using PHP/Laravel and modern web technologies. You will design, implement, test, and maintain high-performance applications.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of software engineering experience, deep PHP expertise, and hands-on work with MySQL, RESTful APIs, HTML/JavaScript/Vue.js, and CSS. Cross-functional collaboration and continual learning are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven, relevant work experience in software engineering.
• Proficient in PHP, MVC, RESTful APIs, OOP, RDBMS, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, Vue.js and CSS.
• Strong experience with Laravel and MySQL is preferred.
• Solid grounding in data modeling, functional decomposition, and ER diagrams.
• Deep understanding of PHP synchronous behavior, platform limitations, and modern workarounds.
• Hands-on with Git; AWS or cloud technologies is a major plus.

• Technical Stack Mastery: Proficient in PHP, MVC patterns, RESTful APIs, OOP, RDBMS, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, VueJs, and CSS
• Preferred Frameworks: Strong professional experience working with the Laravel Framework and MySQL
• Methodologies: Solid grounding in systems development techniques: data modeling, functional decomposition, and Entity-Relationship Diagramming
• Deep PHP Insight: Comprehensive understanding of PHP’s synchronous behavior, platform limitations, and modern workarounds
• Tools & Cloud Integration: Proficient with code versioning systems (Git). Hands-on experience with AWS or cloud technologies is a major plus
