Job summary

ams OSRAM's LSP unit is expanding its backend and test capabilities in Laguna, Philippines. The role focuses on advancing optical sensor device testing, wafer probe testing, and ATE operations within a high-growth photonics environment.

We seek an experienced engineer with 8+ years in semicon test/back-end functions, capable of leading teams, coordinating cross-functional efforts, and delivering robust test processes from development through product release.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in the semiconductor industry, specifically handling Test and Backend functions.
• Advanced expertise in optical sensor devices testing, including electrical, optical, and vision testing.
• Strong experience in test handling, wafer probe testing, and Automated Test Equipment (ATE) operations.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing and test processes for new products, ensuring cost, build, and performance targets are achieved.
• Manage and lead large teams to resolve critical issues, and provide backup support for the Test NPI Manager in key roles.
• Independently start up and manage new devices from project approval through closure, including test transfers from global.
• Support site transfer activities of released devices, ensuring all requirements are coordinated before release to target sites.
• Oversee pre-production builds, verify test processes, and drive resolution of issues before handover to production teams.
• Participate in Process FMEAs, lead new process development and qualification, and collaborate with Process Engineering to adapt or qualify processes for new devices.
• Contribute to supplier selection criteria, manage supplier interactions, review progress against milestones, and initiate improvement programs to ensure cost, quality, and reliability.
• Prepare detailed test and backend reports in handover or RTP documents to ensure smooth product release cycles.
