Job summary

Black & White Engineering is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of complex mechanical building services, with a focus on data centre and mission-critical facilities. You will mentor engineers, coordinate global teams, review designs, and ensure compliance with international standards while driving technical excellence and project success.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
PE license or equivalent accreditation is advantageous.
Extensive experience in mechanical MEP design for data centres or mission-critical facilities.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, ventilation, and fire protection systems.
Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams from design to delivery.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services from concept through construction.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers.
Review designs, calculations, specifications, reports and drawings for compliance.
Chair technical meetings, interface with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
Oversee project resources, schedules, budgets and deliverables.
Drive coordination across global and local teams for seamless execution.
Support business development through technical input and proposal work.
Ensure adherence to international codes and standards for critical facilities.
