Job summary

Western Digital is seeking a Principal Industrial Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering, to drive capacity planning and facility layout optimization aligned with business growth. You will lead Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, manage cross‑functional projects, and analyze data to support strategic decisions and cost reductions.

The role requires extensive experience in electronics manufacturing and strong project leadership, with on‑site work in the Philippines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• At least 8 years of professional experience in a relevant field.
• Industry exposure in Electronics or Semiconductor Manufacturing is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, layout simulation tools, and data analysis software.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical and statistical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive capacity planning aligned with production forecasts and business growth.
• Lead facility layout optimization and redesign projects.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Manage industrial engineering projects and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
• Develop dashboards and reports on capacity utilization and operational efficiency.
