Job summary

Kayana Solutions Inc. in Metro Manila seeks a Lead Developer - Fintech Platforms to provide hands-on technical leadership for scalable backend services and fintech integrations. You will translate business and product needs into secure, reliable software and guide a team of engineers.

The role emphasizes architecture, API design, cloud-native delivery, and strong collaboration with Product, Cybersecurity, and Operations to deliver production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Extensive backend design and development experience in fintech or regulated environments.
• Strong server-side language skills: Java/Spring Boot, C#/.NET, Node.js/TypeScript, or Go.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures.
• Full-stack capability with React/Angular/Vue and ability to guide end-to-end implementation.
• Cloud, CI/CD, observability, testing, and secure coding practices.
• Understanding of payment processing, reconciliation, settlement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, development, enhancement, and support of fintech platforms, backend services and integrations.
• Own application-level solution design including API contracts, data models, and deployment considerations.
• Develop and review production-grade backend code; contribute to frontend when required.
• Translate requirements into technical designs and delivery plans.
• Provide day-to-day technical direction, code reviews, and coaching.
• Set coding standards, release practices, secure development controls, and testing expectations.
• Design secure APIs and integrations with banks, payment networks, and third-party providers.
• Embed security and observability requirements across the SDLC with Cybersecurity and Infra teams.
• Improve performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability via profiling and refactoring.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployments, and post-deployment validation.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Maintain architecture diagrams, runbooks, and technical docs.
• Evaluate frameworks and tools for security, supportability, and total cost.
• Coordinate with vendors and partners to ensure alignment with engineering standards.
