Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead DevOps Automation Engineer to design and implement automated infrastructure solutions across enterprise environments. You will lead hands-on efforts, mentor teammates, and collaborate with multinational teams to deliver reliable, scalable pipelines.

You will build Python tooling, configure GitHub Actions workflows, containerize workloads with Docker/Podman, and manage IaC with Terraform, Azure containers, and self-hosted runners while enforcing security best

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on DevOps or automation engineering experience.
• Minimum 1 year of leadership/mentoring experience.
• Strong Python production-grade scripting for automation and integrations.
• Proven experience with GitHub Actions CI/CD and infrastructure as code.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support robust Python tooling that automates infrastructure management and pipelines.
• Architect and maintain GitHub Actions workflows with advanced configurations and artifact management.
• Set up and secure self-hosted runners in restricted environments, addressing network constraints.
• Create reusable workflows using workflow_call and custom actions with versioning.
• Containerize Python-based workflows with Docker/Podman and manage enterprise registries.
• Utilize serverless and ephemeral environments like Azure Container Apps for workloads.
• Uphold CI/CD security best practices including least privilege and signed actions.
• Provision and manage infrastructure with Terraform following IaC principles.
