Job summary

VBP Back Office Solutions Inc. in the Philippines seeks a Senior Data & AI Platform Engineer to own end-to-end production data pipelines, bringing client data, documents, call transcripts, and more into a centralized PostgreSQL platform on GCP. You will build Python-based ingestion pipelines and support Document AI/LLM workflows processing thousands of files.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, security, and accountability in a small team, with a fixed Mon-Fri schedule from 7 AM to 4 PM.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Python and data engineering, with hands-on production pipelines.
• Experience building ingestion & integrations via third-party APIs.
• Cloud experience with GCP and AWS, and strong PostgreSQL knowledge.
• Secure data handling, access controls, and privacy considerations.
• Proven ownership of troubleshooting production data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end production data pipelines from design to maintenance.
• Build Python-based ingestion pipelines from APIs, client data, and transcripts.
• Consolidate data into PostgreSQL and ensure reliability for downstream systems.
• Design and maintain cloud solutions using GCP and AWS technologies.
• Investigate production issues and resolve data and integration problems.
• Develop advanced PostgreSQL features and manage security controls.
• Support document processing and AI/LLM pipelines for large document volumes.
• Implement production LLM features and evaluate AI output quality.
• Work with Sydney-based stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
• Operate with strong technical ownership in a small engineering team.
