Job summary

Pivot Wealth is seeking a Senior Data & AI Platform Engineer to own end-to-end data pipelines, bringing client data, documents, and transcripts into a centralized PostgreSQL platform on GCP. You will support Document AI and LLM solutions processing over 90,000 client files in a hands-on role focused on production pipelines rather than warehousing or ML model development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years Python experience preferred.
• Strong hands-on data engineering and production pipeline ownership.
• Experience with API ingestion and third-party data sources.
• Hands-on cloud experience with GCP and AWS.
• Strong PostgreSQL skills including JSONB, migrations, and access controls.
• Awareness of data security, privacy, authentication, and authorization.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end production data pipelines from design to maintenance.
• Build Python-based ingestion pipelines from APIs and data sources.
• Consolidate data into centralized PostgreSQL environments for downstream use.
• Design and maintain cloud data solutions on GCP/AWS.
• Investigate and resolve pipeline failures and data issues in production.
• Develop complex PostgreSQL views and database-level access controls.
• Support document-processing and AI/LLM pipelines processing large client files.
• Implement production LLM features and assess output quality.
• Collaborate with Sydney stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
