Tyler Technologies, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Lead Automation Engineer to lead our automation team and champion quality for cloud-native applications. You will guide an Agile/Scrum team, partnering with engineers, product owners and release stakeholders to ensure quality at every stage of development.

The role serves as a technical SME for automation, shaping QA strategies, evolving practices, and owning test automation that enables fast, reliable delivery across ERP-related workflows.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Lead Automation Engineer with 10+ years in automation development.
• Experience leading Agile/Scrum teams and driving QA strategy.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on design, implementation and execution of complex automated tests using Playwright, Selenium, NUnit.
• Design and maintain custom test automation frameworks across C#, Java, TypeScript.
• Develop and maintain test data management strategies using SQL Server and database-driven tests.
• Leverage AI to optimize automation and reduce manual efforts.
• Drive CI/CD and version control integration (Mercurial/TortoiseHg).
• Coordinate with developers on White/Unit test overlaps and APIs (SOAP/REST).
• Lead process improvements, agile ceremonies, code reviews and release certification.
• Mentor QA staff on framework patterns and SDLC practices to ensure quality.
