Job summary

UPTC is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to manage multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Alibaba). You will lead L3 incident handling, guide IaC efforts, and automate operations using Python, PowerShell, and shell scripting.

The role emphasizes security, IAM/RBAC, and cost optimization, while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring resilient cloud architectures across on-site facilities in the Philippines.

Qualifications

• Experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS/Azure/Alibaba Cloud).
• Linux administration on RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu is required.
• Windows Server administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and load balancers.
• Experience with firewalls, security groups, and NSGs.
• Understanding of Hybrid Cloud connectivity.
• IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM/Bicep templating.
• Scripting in Python, PowerShell, Bash or Shell.
• Container tech: Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE).
• CI/CD tooling: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Git.

About the role

You will handle L3-level escalations, major incidents, and root cause analysis while developing Infrastructure as Code solutions and automating operational processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and/or Alibaba Cloud

• Monitor cloud environments to ensure optimal performance, availability, security, and scalability

• Handle L3-level escalations, major incidents, and root cause analysis (RCA)

• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep Templates

• Automate operational processes using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Shell scripting

• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation

• Implement cloud security controls, IAM, RBAC, and compliance requirements

• Optimize cloud resources, performance, disaster recovery, and backup solutions

• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures

• Mentor and support L1 and L2 engineers

About you
