Job summary

Fleet Management Limited invites applications for a Lead Buyer to supervise a team of Buyers/Senior Buyers and provide daily support, training, and development. The role focuses on procurement strategy for pod vessels, supplier liaison, and maintaining cost controls.

You will lead training on Office 365, drive process improvements, and manage performance while ensuring compliance with financial standards and operational needs.

Qualifications

• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Experience leading a procurement/Buyers team in maritime sector is desirable

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement strategy for pod vessels and supervise buyers.
• Document technical information from vessels, workshops and vendors.
• Ensure timely invoice clearance and strengthen supplier relationships.
• Oversee weekly reports of overdue invoices to improve cash flow.
• Train buyers/senior buyers on Office 365 and procurement systems.
• Mentor team and conduct annual performance reviews.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
