A Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring that all linens, garments, and fabrics are cleaned, dried, and pressed according to company standards. They work in hotels, hospitals, laundromats, and other facilities where laundry services are required.
Responsibilities
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and pressing equipment.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron laundry items.
- Handle delicate fabrics with care and follow proper washing instructions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
- Identify and report damaged or stained items.
- Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals and follow safety guidelines.
- Keep an inventory of laundry supplies and report when stock is low.
- Assist with delivering clean laundry to designated areas if required.
- Provide excellent customer service when dealing with guests or clients.
Qualifications
- No formal education is required, but a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is an advantage.
