Job summary

World Class Laminate Inc. in Pasig is seeking a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Laboratory Analyst to ensure compliance with EN standards and to perform tests on raw boards and melamine laminated boards.

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering is required; experience is not mandatory, though lab or manufacturing exposure is an advantage. The role involves sampling, testing, documentation, and collaboration with QA/QC teams.

Responsibilities

• Conducts physical testing (thickness, dimension, density, moisture) on boards.
• Performs mechanical testing (bending strength, modulus of rupture, modulus of elasticity) on raw and laminated boards and provides evaluation.
• Inspects and samples incoming Raw Boards, EBT, MIP, and Melamine Laminated boards.
• Evaluates sample materials for new supplier development.
• Ensures safekeeping of golden samples and maintains calibration of equipment.
• Prepares samples for Sales and Marketing.
• Reports product abnormalities and initiates corrective actions.
• Acts as plant internal calibration officer.

Job Summary:

• Responsible for ensuring quality compliance as per the requirement of EN Standards
• or other applicable Standards. Also responsible for the accurate and prompt testing,
• sampling, and documentation of sample material for evaluation; and incoming Raw
• Boards, EBT, MIP, and Melamine Laminated boards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conducts Physical testing – Thickness, Dimension, Density, Moisture Content, and
• Swelling test; and Mechanical testing – Bending Strength, Modulus of Rupture, and
• Modulus of Elasticity, on Raw Boards and Melamine Laminated Boards; and to
• provide evaluation/conclusion in reference to applicable EN Standards.
• Conducts inspection and sampling on the incoming Raw Boards, EBT, MIP, and
• Melamine Laminated boards.
• Facilitates the evaluation and testing of Sample Material (Raw Boards, EBT, MIP,
• and Melamine Laminated Boards) for new supplier development.
• Ensures the safekeeping of all Golden Samples of MIP, EBT, and Melamine
• Laminated Boards.
• Operates, maintains, and troubleshoot the laboratory equipment.
• Prepares samples for Sales and Marketing.
• Reports to immediate Superior on any product abnormality quality problem observed
• on samples to effect immediate corrective actions.
• Monitors calibration of testing equipment. Reports to immediate superior if there is
• already a need for calibration.
• Seeks and demonstrates ways to reduce quality costs through efficient testing.
• Acts as shift-in-charge interacting with the external and internal in the absence of the
• QAQC Supervisor and QAQC Manager
• Provides technical assistance for understanding quality standards and solutions to
• manufacturing quality problems.
• Prepares purchase and/or service requisition for approval.
• Acts as plant internal calibration officer.
• Performs other related tasks assigned from time to time.
