Job summary

FHI 360 Philippines, through STRIDES, is seeking a Laboratory Specialist to provide hands-on technical support for laboratory systems strengthening. The role involves implementing technical initiatives, preparing reports, and collaborating with STRIDES HQ and local staff to monitor activities and ensure quality.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in medical technology or related field, 4+ years in infectious disease diagnostics or lab strengthening, and fluency in English and Tagalog.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, Public Health, Microbiology or equivalent.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in infectious disease diagnostics or lab systems strengthening.
• Fluency in English and Tagalog required.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical implementation for laboratory systems strengthening.
• Develop and manage technical reports and materials; support QA/QC activities.
• Collaborate with STRIDES HQ and in-country teams to monitor progress and outcomes.
• Support integration of lab data into national platforms.
