FHI 360 in the Philippines seeks a Project Officer for Laboratory Systems Strengthening to support STRIDES’ initiatives. The role collaborates with the Laboratory Systems Strengthening Advisor and in-country staff to coordinate activities, develop technical documents, and drive diagnostic network and data management tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Medical Technology, Nursing, Biology, or other allied health sciences.
• A postgraduate degree is an advantage.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience working with infectious disease programs, and/or laboratory systems strengthening.
• Prior NGO or government health project experience preferred.
• Knowledge of laboratory information management systems.
• Fluency in English and Tagalog required.

Responsabilités

• Provides day-to-day support for STRIDES laboratory systems strengthening coordination, collaboration, and communications with stakeholders at national, subnational, local levels.
• Develops documents for administrative and logistics requests for laboratory system strengthening initiatives.
• Contributes to technical briefs, reports, and materials to facilitate assessments, policy development, and procedures.
• Supports laboratory network strengthening activities, including data management and QA/QC efforts.
• Coordinates with regional, provincial, and local focal persons to plan and implement activities.
• Tracks site-level preparations, progress, and escalates operational issues needing support.
• Ensures activities align with work plans and partner commitments.
• Represents the project in meetings and forums as required.
