Executive Optical, Inc. seeks a Laboratory Operations Supervisor in Cavite to ensure inventory accuracy and smooth material flow within the laboratory office, aligning manpower, materials, and methods with production targets.
You will monitor WIP, inbound/outbound transactions, and adherence to documentation standards, while providing effective leadership to the team and ensuring timely resupply of lenses to prevent aging inventory.
The Laboratory Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, efficient inbound and outbound material flow, and overall administrative control within the laboratory office. The role supports production operations by ensuring materials, systems, manpower, and documentation are aligned to meet production targets and delivery commitments.
Report to the laboratory area prior to shift start to verify the availability of the 4Ms (Manpower, Machine/Systems, Materials, Methods/Documents) and ensure readiness in alignment with the production schedule
Review daily laboratory reports, including Work-in-Process (WIP) and tail-end status, to ensure production and shipment targets are achieved
Ensure all direct and indirect materials are available, properly monitored, and accurately recorded for inbound and outbound transactions
Monitor jobs to meet the 24-hour production lead time target and 100% completion rate
Ensure no pending documents, edging frames, or lenses awaiting assessment remain in the area
Ensure proper daily endorsement of DMR lenses to accounting and timely resupply of lenses to prevent aging inventory
Maintain inventory accuracy through proper documentation, monitoring, and cycle counts (including 4-wall counts where applicable)
Perform other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Management, or related field
Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
At least 2 years of experience in production management, inventory control, or administrative operations within a manufacturing setup
Proficient in MS Office / Microsoft 365
Working knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems
Familiarity with inventory control systems and production monitoring tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective leadership and team management skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Results-oriented and decisive, able to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
