Job Description
As a laboratory analyst, you will perform chemical and physical analyses, ensure timely release of results, maintain equipment, and uphold quality systems.
- Perform chemical and physical analyses of accepted samples according to specified methods and procedures.
- Ensure that the analysis results are released on time.
- Prepare, review, and ensure the correctness of data generated.
- Prepare standards and reagents required for the analysis, and maintain the assigned equipment for proper conduct of laboratory tests.
- Maintain a systematic workflow by regular and proper timing of laboratory tests in order of priority.
- Prepare samples for subcontracting to other laboratories for analyses that cannot be performed at FAST laboratory.
- Safeguard the confidentiality of test results and customers’ procedures.
- Strictly implement the established laboratory quality system based on PNS ISO/IEC 17025 and other accrediting authorities.
- Ensure availability of chemicals and supplies by proper monitoring and immediate requisition to avoid delays in test results.
- Observe guidelines on good housekeeping, safety, and efficient disposal of laboratory wastes.
- Participate in Proficiency Testing and other Quality Assurance programs, including method verification and validation as required.
- Provide assistance in the conduct of non‑routine analyses of new laboratory capabilities.
- Train new hires and laboratory staff on physical/chemical analysis techniques.
- Represent F.A.S.T. Laboratories in professional circles and technical forums as required.
- Report directly to the Laboratory Supervisor/Laboratory Business Manager.
- Perform other tasks as necessary to support the laboratory’s objectives.
