Job summary

Environmental-Health Laboratory Services Cooperative in Taguig, Metro Manila, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support QA/QMS and regulatory compliance within a busy laboratory. You will implement SOPs, GLP and safety standards, prepare and maintain stock of reference microorganisms, assist in procurement and sample handling, and provide technical support to Sales/Marketing and clients.

• Implements and ensures full compliance with SOPs, GLP, housekeeping, safety regulations, and QMS policies.
• Prepares and maintains stock and working cultures of reference microorganisms; assists in procurement and sampling.
• Provides technical support to Sales and Marketing and clients regarding testing, reporting, or inquiries.
• Assists in identifying and investigating non-conformities and in corrective and preventive actions.
• Assists in hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk mitigation; adheres to discipline guidelines.

Job description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Implements and ensures full compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, Good Laboratory Practices, Good Housekeeping, safety regulations, and policies related to the Quality Management System (QMS) program and relevant regulatory requirements.

2. Prepares and maintains stock and working cultures of reference microorganisms. Assists in the procurement of laboratory supplies and services and evaluation of external providers.Assists in the receipt, coding, and encoding of samples as needed.

3. Provides technical support to the Sales and Marketing Department and clients regarding testing, reporting, or technical inquiries as needed.

4. Assists in the identification and investigation of non-conformities, and in the implementation and monitoring of corrective and preventive actions.

5. Assists in the hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk mitigation activities. Strictly adheres to the company’s guidelines on the code of discipline.
